Child&Youth Mental Health-Intro to Assessm't

This course is designed specifically for professionals working in clinical settings and related areas who want to understand more about the process of child and youth mental health assessment. The course will involve teaching and practical exercises for participants to develop basic skills in clinical assessment. This course is also designed as a prerequisite introduction to assessment for those attending the Developmental Psychiatry Course (DPC) which runs throughout the year.

About the Course

This course is designed specifically for professionals working in clinical settings and related areas who want to understand more about the process of child and youth mental health assessment. The course will involve teaching and practical exercises for participants to develop basic skills in clinical assessment. 

This course is also designed as a prerequisite introduction to assessment for those attending the Developmental Psychiatry Course (DPC) which runs throughout the year.

Applicants who are not also undertaking the DPC must complete and return the application form. Non-DPC applicantions may be subject to cancellation if insufficient places are availb.e

Morning, afternoon tea and light lunch provided.

Date: Three days training course during first week of February each year.
Time: 9-4pm
