CAMHS and Paediatricians Project

The CAMHS and Paediatricians Working Together Project is a scoping study conducted to look at the mental health workforce interface between CAMHS and Paediatricians who work in the community. This project was commenced in response to paediatricians identifying that 30-40% of their caseload was generated from behavioural, emotional and developmental problems. A qualitative analysis methodology was used to understand the experience of clinicians as they negotiated this service interface to generate recommendations on how to support paediatricians in their mental health work.
