About Mindful's Autism Training Program
Mindful is the largest provider of autism training in Victoria and a leading provider of autism training within Australia, delivering over 40 workshops to 2000+ participants each year from over 570 individual organisations. We provide high quality, accessible, and affordable training to clinicians in both the public and private sectors.

As the Victorian Department of Health has provided funding to Mindful to coordinate and deliver autism training for mental health services, there are subsidised places are available in select workshops for Victorian public ICYMHS/AMHS clinicians. Please see individual workshops for costs and further information.

Our Participants
Our workshops are attended by early career clinicians and experienced clinicians from all disciplines wanting to expand their autism knowledge and skills. Workshops are offered online and in person.

Our Presenters
Presenters come from a range of multi-disciplinary, clinical, academic, and lived and living experience perspectives. The focus of training is the translation of knowledge to development of practical clinical skills.

Our program offers a sequential progression of training categorised into 3 streams:

Core Training
Provides a comprehensive understanding of autism and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our most popular workshop, ASD Assessment Fundamentals & Co-occurring Conditions, demonstrates the complexity of a multidisciplinary autism assessment and is the prerequisite for advanced training workshops.

Skill Development
A deeper exploration into co-occurring mental health conditions. Targeted and specific to enhance clinicians' knowledge and skills in working with autistic clients who experience co-occurring conditions and advancing knowledge of current evidence-based strategies integrated with neurodiversity affirming practice. (e.g. Autism and ADHD, Eating Disorders, Suicide Prevention, Anxiety, & more).

Advanced Assessment
Training in autism assessment tools for use in clinical practice: the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADI-R).
