What does the training include?
The aim of this seminar is to provide participants with an understanding of psychological issues related to offending youth in our society. The seminar will provide an introduction to delinquency, and in particular violent offending. It will address the identified developmental origins to delinquency, relationship with mental health problems, contemporary issues in youth offending, age of criminal responsibility, and introduce risk assessment and formulation. Participants are encouraged to bring their own case material to the session for discussion.

This training workshop is designed for psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, occupational therapists, mental health nurses, teachers, headspace clinicians, paediatricians, child & adolescent psychiatrists & trainees.
