Who is the training for?

Mental health clinicians, child & adolescent psychiatrists, paediatricians, speech pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, or other professionals who have completed at least the 2-day ADOS-2 Introductory workshop.

Who provides the training?

Psychologist Deborah Sweeney has been training clinicians in the use of the ADI-R and ADOS-2 for many years throughout Asia and the Pacific region. Deborah was previously working in autism research at Monash University and now works in private practice providing consultation for complex presentations of autism spectrum disorder.

What does the training include?

This half-day workshop consists of coding two new videos of module 1 or 2 and module 3 or 4 administration of the ADOS-2. These are recent videos of Deborah administering the ADOS-2. This is an opportunity to check your reliability and discuss coding questions. Participants will be provided with a pre-course video to code before attending the workshop. The workshop commences with the discussion of codes of the pre course video and a further video is watched and coded during the workshop.

Prerequisite training

To be eligible for this training participants are required to have completed the ADOS-2 Introductory 2-day (also known as ADOS-2 Clinical) training. For further information please see our Frequently Asked Questions website page.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Registered participants who are unable to attend and notify us of this in writing prior to fourteen days before the workshop may either:

(1) cancel their registration and receive a refund of their payment minus administration fee of 20% or $40, whichever is greater;
(2) transfer their registration once to another eligible participant within the same workplace (no fee);
(3) in some circumstances may be able to transfer their registration once to an equivalent-cost ASD workshop in the same calendar year, if space is available.
Participants who cancel 14 to 2 business days before the workshop may be permitted to transfer their registration once to another eligible participant (no fee). In exceptional circumstances, please contact Mindful.
