Who is the training for?

Mental Health Clinicians and other professionals such as psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, mental health nurses, paediatricians, psychiatrists and registrars, working with autistic children and young people.

Who provides the training?

Dr Deb Marks is consultant paediatrician for the Royal Children’s Hospital Mental Health Specialist Autism Team. Dr Marks is a paediatrician with child psychiatry training who has worked in mental health specializing in autism for over 25 years.

What does the training include?

This half day live webinar focuses on autistic children and adolescents with sleeping issues including background issues and aetiology, medications, and simple behavioural measures that can be used in mental health consultations to improve sleep. This presentation will include clinical case presentations and opportunity for attendees to raise clinical challenges and concerns when working with these children/young people if time allows.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Registered participants who are unable to attend and notify us of this in writing prior to fourteen days before the workshop may either:

(1) cancel their registration and receive a refund of their payment minus administration fee of 20% or $40, whichever is greater;
(2) transfer their registration once to another eligible participant within the same workplace (no fee);
(3) in some circumstances may be able to transfer their registration once to an equivalent-cost ASD workshop in the same calendar year, if space is available.
Participants who cancel 14 to 2 business days before the workshop may be permitted to transfer their registration once to another eligible participant (no fee). In exceptional circumstances, please contact Mindful.
